QUOTATION

"I never practice my guitar. From time to time I just open the case and throw in a piece of raw meat."

Wes Montgomery
Legendary jazz guitarist, who played multiple jazz styles and was widely known to have practiced relentlessly.

A Secret Passion, That's Not So Secret

I've always been fascinated by the design, construction and rich acoustic characteristics of a wide range of instruments — from the Fender Stratocaster to the carved arch-top jazz guitars of the '30s and '40s, from the percussive and dynamic tonality of classical and flamenco guitars to the sustain of an amplified Gibson Les Paul. This has, no doubt, contributed to my interest in playing a variety of styles and musical genres — and to my passion for making my own guitars.

Here's an image gallery of some of the instruments I have created in my workshop through the years. These classical, flamenco and Latin jazz guitars are made — for the most part — from rare, exotic and exceptionally beautiful tone woods ... like Brazilian, Siam and Madagascar rosewood, Mexican snakewood and cocobolo, East African ziricote, Hawaiian koa, and Macassar ebony — to name but a few.
