SETTING YOUR GOALS
The complementary first lesson lasts for about 30 to 40 minutes. For students that wish to take their lessons online (rather than through their participation at international workshops), the initial lesson can be held with a simple online set-up (see online resource options). A more sophisticated online setup can be discussed during this first meeting — or at any time in the future.
This initial lesson is, first and foremost, an opportunity for both of us to discuss your goals. It also gives me the chance to evaluate your current playing level, arrange a regular timetable, and provide some start-up resources. I'll also explain my approach to teaching the guitar and my preliminary thoughts on how you can best develop your guitar playing skills.
If you already own a guitar, please have it with you at the first lesson. If you don't have an instrument ... or at least not one that's suitable for your current goals, I can certainly provide you with some advice on acquiring a suitable instrument.
Interested? Then please complete the online Lesson Inquiry form ... or if you prefer, you can e-mail me directly. (see contact information)
