WHAT DRAWS US TOGETHER?

When I think of my students, both past and present, there is one thing that strikes me immediately; and that's the depth and pervasiveness of the human spirit when it comes to music whether one is listening to it, composing it, or playing it on an instrument — and, of course, as far as I'm concerned there's no instrument I rather listen to, compose for, or play on than the guitar. As the great classical composer, Frédéric Chopin, once said "There is nothing more beautiful than a guitar, except possibly two".

Excuse me for getting a little off-topic, this is suppose to be about my students. Let me just say that it is the love of the guitar (and its music) that draws us together ... regardless of age, cultural background, musical preferences, playing ability, or future aspirations — and I wouldn't have it any other way.
